ACT高分写作句式利器之强调句介绍

　　ACT考试全称“American College Testing”，中文名称为“美国大学入学考试”，是美国大学本科的入学条件之一，也是奖学金发放的重要依据之一。由ACT公司主办。ACT考试分为四个部分：文章改错(English)，数学(Math)，阅读(Reading)，和科学推理(Science Reasoning)。另外，作文为选考。

　　ACT(American College Test)考试与SAT考试均被称为“美国高考”，它们既是美国大学的入学条件之一，又是大学发放奖学金的主要依据之一及对学生综合能力的测试标准。这个考试也被所有美国四年制大学承认，与SAT相比学校没有偏向性，两个考试的成绩均接受。和SAT不同，ACT考试更像一种学科考试，它更强调考生对课程知识的掌握，同时也考虑到了对考生独立思考和判断能力的。从时间上看，ACT考试比SAT紧张;从难度上看，ACT考试比SAT更容易一些，尤其对中国的考生来说，选择ACT考试可能更容易在短期内获得相对满意的成绩!

　　1. 用助动词“do(does/did)+动词原形”来表示强调

　　这是最为简单的一种方式，但童鞋们在运用的时候是不是往往都忽略了?我们看看例子。

　　例1：

　　Artificial intelligence does allow many avenues in research and exploration.

　　人工智能确实能允许对许多场景的研究和探索。

　　例2：

　　Intelligent machines did contribute a lot to the economy booming in the last two decades, yet we have to reconsider it now.

　　智能机器在过去二十年里对经济做出了相当的贡献，但现在我们得重新考虑。

　　2. 用形容词 very，only，single，such, last 等修饰名词或形容词来加强语气

　　例3：

　　That's the very reason why we should slow down the reckless development to reconsider the economic implications.

　　这正是为什么我们需要减慢不计后果的发展，来重新考虑对经济的影响。

　　例4：

　　Reserving tradition is not the only the only way to maintain our culture.

　　保持传统并不是我们我们保持文化的唯一方式。

　　例5：

　　A single mistake by President Nixon made him resign for his presidency, which shows such mistake is intolerable.

　　仅仅一个错误就使尼克松总统退位，这表明这种错误是不能容忍的。

　　3. 用what引导的主语从句表示强调

　　例6：

　　What is certain is that we are moving into this change too fast to anticipate and prevent damage to the human species.

　　可以肯定的是，我们现在正在快速地进行改变，以至于无暇预测或预防对人类产生的任何破坏。

　　4. It is强调句

　　It is/was+被强调的成分+that/who，所强调的可以是单词、短语，也可以是从句，但必须保证其结构完整。被强调部分可以是主语、表语、宾语、同位语、状语。

　　例7：(对主语强调)

　　It is the unscrupulous hackers who should be responsible for the misused identities and the spread of celebrities ‘privacy which humiliate them.

　　不道德的黑客们应该为盗用的账户和名人隐私的泄露负责，这使得名人受到羞辱。

　　例8：(对状语强调)

　　It is through connecting some products with human merits such as confidence, elegance, and success that advertisements manipulate people’s subconscious.

　　广告正是通过把一些产品与人的价值如自信、优雅和成功等结合起来，来操纵人的潜意识。

　　例9：(对宾语强调)

　　It is intelligent machines that we use to free human labor.

　　我们正是使用智能机器来解放人类劳动力。

　　注：强调句中的时态要根据原句的时态而定。即原句为过去某种时态，则强调句中的be就用过去时。原句为现在某种时态，强调句中的be就用现在时态。有时还可以用It might be/must have been/can’t be…that等句式。

　　5. not ... until ... 句型的强调句

　　句型为：It is/ was not until + 被强调部分 + that + 其它部分，表示“直到......才......”

　　例10：

　　It was not until the racial segregation was eradicated that people realized the importance of a multiethnic government.

　　直到种族隔离制度被推翻，人们才意识到一个多种族的政府的重要性。

　　例11：

　　It is not until recently that people get aware of the importance of disclosure of government information.

　　直到最近人们才意识到公开政府信息的重要性。

　　Children these days are inundated by media that is saturated with messages of wealth and materialism, from celebrity magazines that feature mansions and expensive cars to start-up millionaires (and even billionaires) in their 20’s to reality TV shows in which ordinary people get rich with little talent or effort. It is the message that Children get early makes them to believe that the way to distinguish themselves is with money. A recent survey shows that 81 percent of young people rate “getting rich” as their most important goal.
